I like your blog, it's pretty entertaining if you are into electronics. wish I new that when I was making my thermometer on arduino. Long (years) time ago... Still remember one particular issue that sensor (LM35) was working correct when supplied from usb (5V) and showing ~50% too much when supplied...

opengl might be a reason

I don't know your specs but can you try and compare with d3d renderer? maybe it's OpenGL drivers' problem.
You should also check this topic: BoD Optimization Config (for win7,8,10) and then come back if nothing works.

Reporting it to police may be a good call. They will probably do nothing but they can tell you what to do really in such situation/s.

And contacting ISP may give you some insight in what they are thinking and maybe they can or will do something.

You have to edit files yourself. It's more than easy - back it up, edit as said in thread, with notepad even as they are text files really, and run the game.

My question was inspired also by piece of code from mmp_dump:
truecolour[3*k] = palette[data[k]*3] << 2;
which clearly changes value (multiplies by 4 by shifting 2 bits) during conversion from paletted to treucolour.

Different colours of truecolour vs indexed textures.

I noticed that when one converts indexed/paletted (8-bit/256-colours) texture to truecolour (24-bit) it becomes darker. For example, Zoe with original (paletted) textures is blonde and when converted to truecolor she is brunette. Did someone determined how exactly it changes and how to reverse it?
