On 3dMax select the object and click with the right mouse button on it, then on the list at the bottom chose "convert to" editable mesh. I forgot to triple the sword sorry, doom 3 only likes triangles not quads save it has a .ASE file it does that automaticaly. So .lwo meshes work then, good to know...

I work with modo501 and it has as up vector Y but Doom3 uses Z as the up vector, maybe this is whats causing the problems? BTW on my models (at lest in modo) the Center (world) and the Pivot (model) are at 0.0.0 and i make all my transforms in component mode (face, vertex, edge) so to not change tha...

Can't you convert the .fbx files that i posted to .md5? They open well in 3dmax, about the orientation i really don't know what kind of orientation a meele weapon needs to work well on doom3 either, will see if i can export one from doom3. The only way i know how to change key bindings is using the menu options but i never changed from the default ones when i played thou, about the already in use message, it exists because you can't assign two actions to the same key, so just go to the key bindings menu and see if RMB is being used by...

Afaik there's no new textures for the original single player game but for the mods there's some, and i recommend that after you finish the game you install BODLoader to play some of the fantastic single player stories made by Prospero and others, they are really of fantastic quality and imo even bet...

I changed slightly the original models, some more then others thou, the uvmaps are totally new and the textures are a mix of new and old stuff, btw i can't wait to see them in game in the hands of a character. :D
