Never mind, I figured it out.

Jump from halfway down the steps and then jump again.

I'm in the catacombs, near the area with the four (now empty) caskets and the gap, across which the ledge rises.

Everytime I've tried jumping to grab the ledge, Rynn misses.

Is there a trick to getting safely across?
