Re: Drakan 2 Postmordum
There's so many loose ends for both games. It's a shame they had to cut the alternate creatures to ride. They would have made some interesting Bosses to fight in any case. And the fact that there wasn't a quest to rescue Perry was disappointing. I was hoping for some closure and a cut scene showing ...

Drakan 2 Postmordum
Ran across this link tonight that has some interesting info on designing and developing Drakan 2. It tells the back story of what went right and the troubles they had while trying to meet the deadline for release. There's some concept art of the other creatures Rynn was going to ride too, including ...

Re: I am so happy!
Now that you're done with OOTF take a look at the user created Single player levels. http://www.arokhslair.net/wp/order-of-the-flame/single-player-map-reviews/ They'll keep you occupied for some time. The Breaking of the World uses a magic system and is a very fun level. Dragonmech is a desert level...

Re: I am so happy!
Unfortunately the ending on TAG is equally unsatisfying. The game itself is first rate and a lot of fun. The replay value is very high because you can max out various skills and complete it with different fighting techniques. You should try it as a full ( level 8 ) Mage and Archer and as a 1-1-1 cha...

Re: Extracting models, textures & sounds
Your avatar looks like you put your finger in an wall socket. Maybe it's just a picture of you after the level editor crashed and you lost all your work? :D I enjoy all your creations and I'm encouraged to see a guru back and willing to help out. You, Zeoc, Steamtek, Assasin, Mick and others have gi...

Re: Extracting models, textures & sounds
Here's a few links in the level editing forum that should get you started. I don't know if you can extract characters and animations with the level editor, but you can look thru the modeler info and see if that will help. I read in one of the posts that's it's possible to copy an object with an alph...

Re: Progress and Healing ?
Replaying it nowadays using a pad with 2 joysticks make things soooo much easier. I use the directional buttons and a trackball to circle strafe. I tried it once with a dual joystick gamepad but I'm more deadly with a trackball. It took a learning curve when I was forced to adapt to a gamepad when ...

Re: Progress and Healing ?
You can use helicopter or strafe tactics on other dragons and artillery. Most times you can go backwards as fast as the other dragons attack. Your breath weapon usually has a longer range so you can soften them up a bit before you attack. The best attack and defense is a circle strafe for both air a...

Re: Help Swing blades in Arokhs Lair ?
The angle the blades make across the path is hard to judge. Try turning so you are facing the edge of the blades and slowly strafe until the blade almost touches you as it swings past. As it goes by, strafe a little past it and get lined up for the next one. As I recall there's enough room between t...

Re: Not So Rare Drakan: The Ancients' Gates Poster
Nice find on a good looking poster. It's too bad the closing credits didn't have a scene with the Mother Dragon and her brood emerging from the Mother Gate. It would have made the ending so much better.

Re: Unused Rimril Sequence?
Pretty cool that you found some extras in the game that have been hidden so long. Maybe there was going to be some kind of water tunnel in Alwarren that needed the key to open. Interesting find.

Re: Killed Snotmaw by accident
I was surprised the game didn't crash too. I think the character that showed up for the fight had all the hit points that Snotmaw usually has. He was pretty darn tough, tougher than the average Wartock. When I couldn't find Snotmaw's Cleaver I figured I really screwed the pooch and would have to rel...

Mage Dragon Hunting in the Valley
I've been having a good time killing those flying reptiles with magic in the valley and desert. If you want to give it a try, here's some tips and techniques I used to bring them down to earth. First make sure your heath is full because you're gonna get bit a few times before you can fight back. Mak...

Killed Snotmaw by accident
I was coming to the end of Kragmore playing as a Mage. I was at the entrance to the Giant cage with the platform at the top with all the wartocks standing around the arena. I powered up with Soul Steal and pointed Rynn a little right of center and let one fly without using a target lock. When the 'b...

The complete history of Dragons (youtube)
I ran across this detailed 'history' of dragons while channel surfing. The cgi on the video looks pretty good and the 'documentary' style was interesting with it's mix of science and myth. I did a quick search and found a link for your enjoyment. It's a long video that runs 97 minutes and 10 seconds...
