How about a spam attack.[}:)]

You don't appear to get a heck of a lot of response to queries. One of the posters I noticed seems to asking about a completely different game.[:D]

Add Rampage's mirror site to the list. It is slow but still online. The link above is not responding at present.

Thanks, brian, for the links. High time they were all gathered together. Invaluable for BOD enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Nice to see there are still a few new sites, too.

@Axle Stone
I have noted that daniel's site appears to be gone, but I wont remove it for a week or so, just in case it comes back up. My guess is the Admins noticed increased traffic to his site and pulled the plug.
As for Order of Ianna site, my Internet explorer options are set to high security and I haven't encountered the login screen you describe.
I added the mirror of Rampage's site to the list. Thanx Lord William.

@Ralo
There was another online Bod thread by Jolaes and I basically stole most links from there[:I]. I want to try to keep the links up-to-date.

Well, I know lots of us here are grateful for the effort. Maybe it's time one of us thought about setting up a permanent Severance:BoD Museum and Repository site? Basically, somewhere to gather together every known Severance resource, utitlity, mod, add-on, etc., before they all fade from view?

Hmmm. I've been thinking about doing something online for a while now. Never could think what to do. Until now. Since I am a graphic designer...

Brian,
You might consider adding another category: "Dead Links" - Although these links can not be found, they are probably still there in some form on the Wayback Machine. I use FireFox which has an extension to add a right click context menu item, "Wayback This Page", which if clicked gives a list of saved web pages of that site over the past few years.

Alternatively, IE and other browser users can go to:
http://web.archive.org/collections/web.html
and type in (copy & paste) the URL of the supposed dead site.

I checked Wayback for the recently defunct Sir Random's page (http://www.handspun.ie/daniel/) and found a pretty complete copy of the webpage still available.

You can even find Ironlord's old Blade pages on Wayback. - Put this URL into Wayback: http://iron.lord.bei.t-online.de/index.html

Also missing from your list above is the "Order of the Sword" page here at Arokh's Lair: http://www.arokhslair.net/severance/

In the Order of the Sword links page, there is this Spanish Blade page, "Blade the Game" which is still online:
http://www.iespana.es/bladethegame/principal.htm.

It also has a semi-active (even in the last week or so) forum with some poor souls asking Blade questions (among non blade related questions attempting to hijack the forum for advertising purposes). Maybe some of our Spanish forum members could point them here or answer their questions.

Heres a goodie.[:D]

http://web.archive.org/web/200208061805 ... /index.htm

Most of the original walkthoughs are still accessible.

Whoops! Pasting in direct links don't seem to work. BUT if you copy the second part - click the first part and then paste the second part into the take me back bit you should get somewhere near.[8)]

Thanks, Prospero. I had thought of checking Walkthrough ONline but didn't have time. The archived pages on Wayback are pretty good with only missing photos here and there - some levels have just a few missing while others have a lot. On the whole it is a good resource that I had thought was gone forever.

Using Firefox's Wayback extension makes it a whole lot easier to get to the archived pages. I tried with Masklin's Blade Forever but even Wayback didn't have much - I think it's now "Blade Forever Gone". Too bad.

The Wayback Machine is quite something.
