I think I know what causes that problem.

See that line in that red box? that appears in both [Blade_Skin] and [Blade_Mutilation]. I think that's what causes the problem.
Try to detach the whole arm from both [Blade_Skin] and [Blade_Mutilation] and then place the arm in the right position where you don't see that line. Then try to test it again in game.

Let me if that fixes your problem. :D

@Ubaid, well this is a pain. I am trying to correctly delete the vertices to divide the arm from the body but it is a complicated area and it's hard for me... if I succeed I will give you feedback on the result

I was wrong, I'm sorry
It's the problem with the smoothing group of [Blade_Mutilations]
Assign the right smoothing group to that part and the arm problem should be solved. :D

Well, I did several tests with smooth groups but had no results. But what I noticed is that the skeleton has that "wound". But the skeleton cannot be smoothed. Or rather, it can be done but the character becomes "invisible" for a rendering bug. So I don't know what to do....

I've had a similar situation where perspective textures appear when the smoothing group of [Blade_Mutilations] is incorrect. (It's supposed to show up when it's cut off)
Take Bar_L.max as an example.
Perform face editing on [Blade_Mutilations]. Select the right shoulder-chest joint face and set smoothing groups 5 and 32.
There are several other joining surfaces that need to be set the same way. :D

By the way, skeletal wounds are unimportant. The mutilation group is responsible for the limbs, the skeletal group is responsible for the animation as well as the character scale, and the skin group is responsible for the masking and wound areas.

How to test for the presence of perspective textures. There is a simple test by moving the camera inside the model. If it appears with the texture shown below, then that is the cause of the problem you are currently experiencing.

This is the interior of the original model:

Normally it is invisible, it only shows texture when the arm is severed.

hello @Sryml,
thanks for the reply. I am currently stuck on many aspects of the game and continue to suffer between crashes (not skin only, I am having some difficulties with bod loader installations and placement of new items in levels)
Perform face editing on [Blade_Mutilations]. Select the right shoulder-chest joint face and set smoothing groups 5 and 32.

I didn't understand if this is the solution to the problem (I suck in English), if so I will try it immediately, thanks! :D

Hi, snow91
I would say that most of Harrison's models don't have the right smoothing group. Have you tried this on Bar_L.max? First you should cancel all smoothing groups for [Blade_Mutilations], then follow my gif demo to set it up.

If it works you will really understand how it works. I think your model texture problem is caused by the smoothing group.

Well I noticed that when you select the faces there are a lot of different smoothing groups, so I selected all the faces and removed all of them, then going to select the point you showed (I do it only for mutilations not for skins), but then when I group everything to export the wound is still there.
I tried this on my model, not on BarL.max... but i will try on it to be more sure

Ok well i tried on BarL.max but i have the same issue. I might be doing something wrong so I would like to summarize my steps:
1) open BarL.max
2) ungroup and split the 3 pieces (skin, mutilations, skeleton)
3) select mutilations and go to Modify -> Sub-Object -> Face
4) select all the faces of the mutilation skin, some numbers of the smoothing groups will disappear as they're used. So i will double click to remove it all.
5) At this point, i will do the same thing you did on the first gif and assing to that face the smoothing group 5 + 32
6) align + regroup + export. then i use filezilla to change files between OS.

Nothing change. :(

Well, you may have chosen the wrong face. The face is located inside and it is the face between the joints. :!: You can see that I clicked 3 times in the same position and 3dmax will select the overlapping faces in order.
And in the demo I'm using the back view.

You can rotate the view to see if it is located inside, it is really hard to see.

Okay, the face you choose is the interior face. But it's not the exposed one.
I'll show you my left view. Actually all internal facets need to be set because they affect the cut wound.
