Erik Aho who made the music for Drakan sent me an email today to let me know that he has selected tracks from the game online if anyone wants to have a listen. The link is here http://soundcloud.com/erik-aho/sets/video-games

It does not look like it, no. Having listened to them they do not seem much different to the ones I have on the web site.

Here is SoundClound mp3 downloader, if anyone is interested :)

(You have to add .mp3 extension to download files, as it is not set by default)

Ah, OK I thought I managed to download them at one point as I just found them on my computer. I must have forgotten about it. Must be old age or too much work :)

Sorry to revive an old thread, but by any chance does anyone still have these music files? I somehow managed to lose them between moving from new computer to new computer, and they've since been removed from Erik Aho's soundcloud.

Sent you a PM - the music was taken down due to copyright infringement.

Hello Arokhs Twin, I am long-time Drakan lover, I finished it years ago several times and played many mods, etc.
Could you share the music with me, as well?
Thanx in advance! :)

Music plays a major role in video games. The player needs to be involved and immersed in the game's atmosphere. For example, great music has a game of Doom for PS4 for authorship genius composer Mick Gordon. Just a great sound can boast FIFA 2022. Their music is can to listen to outside the game, just as music. I got these games for the best price thanks to this https://www.cdkeysforgames.com/consoles/fifa-22-ps4/ site. There are many examples of games with great sound, but also there are bad examples that I would not even like to remember.

Yeah music is essential to most games - I can't play games with it turned off. As for that Doom soundtrack its a great example.

Hi to every Drakan devotee here in the forum;
I don't know if you already found a way to rip the music from the PS2 version of The Ancients' gates; in any case here's the method I followed to harvest all the sound effects, tunes and voices from my copy of the game.

First of all download the program PSound v2.01 (I found it here: http://snailrush.online.fr/) and unzip it in a folder directly placed in C: (this is important).
Then locate somewhere the file WnASPI32.dll and place it inside the same folder.

Start the program and insert your disk inside the CD/DVD player; in the menu FILE choose SCAN DIRECTORY (not SCAN CD/DVD ROM, it often does nothing) and point to your CD/DVD player choosing the language folder that you prefer (in my disk there are English, French, German, Italian and Spanish). It's always a good idea to feed it always with the final folder containing the audio tracks, not one above, or it won't show anything.
Since I'm Italian I choose my nationality folder; from there, for example, I enter the COMMON folder and then the SOUNDS one. Here I find 212 audio tracks, generally fx and cutscene/ambient short musics .
If from ITALIAN folder I choose the LEVELS one, entering in LEVEL0RO I find Rynn and Arokh's voices of the intro, plus some fx. In LEVEL1ON folder there are 636 files, mainly voices and so on, I let you discover.
If from ITALIAN folder I enter MUSIC and from there I scan PS2MUSIC I find the 38 music pieces of the game. I guess now you understood the concept; just remember, after scanning a folder, to erase the found files from the list before proceeding to scan a new folder or the program will go in confusion.

When you want to export the files (by default in .wav format) simply select the ones you want (or all the files) and click on CONVERT, the third icon from left under the File menu. Choose the destination folder and the quest is complete.
If you want to convert to mp3 format just use your favourite converter (I generally use Audacity to check the volume and eventually fade or add silence to the track, but it's a matter of tastes and knowledge I guess).

I think it's all, good life to everybody and always follow Brekk's wise advices ^^.

Ah, I forgot to add that the compressed file containing the audio tracks has often the .sdb extension.
And it seems that PSound could be able to rip musics also from other PS2 games.
