Who are Drakan Championship winners? You decide!

Post by Bregolas »

The Anniversary event is well over but the Championship is not :) As you may have already noticed, no winners have been announced, although we've given out all the scores and rates. The thing is, it's not the scores that matter;) We're really thankful for all those who's been there and we still hope the others will join the game some day too. But all of you, no matter if you've taken part in the championship or not, are invited to vote for the participants of Ground Final! Let it be a nice little experiment ;) This way of scoring gives us an opportunity to balance objective but chance dependent scores and independent though subjective opinions. The scores show how successful was the particular player that very game. The videos show more: how fair was that player? how good was the player's style? did that player use spectacular open style of playing or rather annoying defensive tactics? or is it the efficiency of chosen tactics that really mattered? You decide!

How does it work? First you need to register at http://www.drakanbonded.com/ if you still haven't done so. The only thing I'd really ask everyone to do on this step is to provide at least some info about you, like the country of origin, "I play Drakan since" etc. so that your profile won't look impersonal. Then you can go to video section http://drakanbonded.com/videos.php?cat= ... ound+Final and watch the videos of final games. Remember you can always use fullscreen button at the right side of YouTube player and sometimes higher quality button too. Once you've watched the video, consider how much points out of 3 each player deserves (you should be logged in to do it:) Your comments are very welcome too! Note that you can't vote if you're there on the video:) The scores you'll see after voting are raw numbers again, the total sum of viewers' votes. It's interesting to compare them to the scores given;) Please be fair when you vote and try to evaluate both players:) Note that even if you vote for one player out of two, it will only affect that temporary raw score. The thing that matters is how many ones, twos and threes did each player get in total. If you've taken part in final, you can see your current rating below the avatar on the left. At some point we'll freeze voting and publish all the results. It depends only on your activity how soon it's going to happen;)

We're still uploading other videos taken from ground and air games, including old ones, looking for more;) So watch out for some funny fresh stuff and send us a link if you want something to be posted too:) Hopefully these clips will arise some nostalgic memories and bring you back to the game some day;) http://www.youtube.com/user/DrakanBonded
