How compatible are Drakan 1 and 2 levels?

Post by buckmana »

Out of curiosity, I started snooping around on the Ancients' Gates disc.

I found the design structure to be similar to Order Of The Flame.

So I wondered if it was possible to "borrow" elements from this game.

It seemed to import the databases, except for a lot of messages about finding certain databases.

But the database windows were blank when it finally finished.

What I'm considering probably isn't possible, but I'll mention it anyway:

What I wanted to do was take Arokh's sonic breath and some of Rynn's magical abilities (slow time, rejunevate, lightning, fireball, ice, thunder (I think that's it, didn't find it when playing TAG)) and use them in the Level Editor, in addition to their normal skills.

i think you need lots of hacking to export stuff you want from D-TAG and convert it to D-OOTF format and possibly add additional functionality to D-OOTF engine to support new features... i think sometime we will have a sources of D-OOTF in some way and hacking will be easier...

Drakon Rider, you kick ass! Nobody has ever shown the level of support for Drakan as you have. Just wanted to say it.
