Can layers cross?

Crossing of layers?

Hi all, Thanks for everybody who helps me at previous times. There is another simple question - can I make a situation when the layers must crossing each other ? When I try to do this - I never achieved such result - layers only laying one on the other or moving itselves where I want them to cross. The question is - can I anyway cross the layers or this is impossible and dangerous for stability of the whole Engine ?

I can make the answer very short. The layers stay one above the other. What you would have to do is probably using more layers but that can become messy sometimes.
