Trying to host a game gives me the following error "Session creation failed, check network settings and try again"
Same with firewall turned off.

Anyone have any idea what network settings I have to 'check'?

The game is basically saying it can't connect. This is usually due to a firewall so I'd check that first. Ports 27045,27046 need to be open. I'm running windows 7 x64 and the game seems to work fine on my machine although I had to manually configure my router's ports to get Drakan multiplayer working.
