STORY

Drakan\Multiplayer\QOD\sphinxes\

Deep in the lands of sand and time the Sisters of the Broken Veil have uncovered two mysterious Sphinxes.  Each sphinx houses the spirits of the Hyksos and the Nubia.  Both the Hyksos and Nubians engaged in a battle sparked by hatred probably arising out of class and poverty.  The Sphinxes were tributes to the heroes of both the Hyksos and Nubians during a time both peoples knew peace.  Unfortunately war and bloodshed drove both groups to extinction.  The troubled spirits of that last great war continue their eternal attempts of self-destruction to this day.

Unfortunately, the troubled spirits saw the Sisters as an opportunity to possess the bodies of the Sisters to carry on their eternal battle.
HOW TO PLAY
This is a CTF map with QoD elements.  The object is to steal your opponent's flag and return that flag to the offering chamber in your sphinx.  This level allows both teams to use dragons for faster flag captures although both teams can play CTF without the dragons.

THE SPHINX

1st Floor Gathering of Stars (All players start here)
2nd Floor Cleansing Room (An armory, containing weapons and the crypt of the guardian)
3rd Floor  Offering Chamber (Bring the enemy flag to this chamber)
Rear of Sphinx The flag of your team
Hood of Sphinx The Guardian's Watcher resides here (dragon crystal)
Veil of Sphinx Items of magic

MOVING AROUND IN THE SPHINXES

Fall damage is turned off; you may jump or fall from any height without taking damage

On each floor of each sphinx is a strand of energy extending into a Golden pool in the ceiling above.  Stand in the energy strand and then jump attack to get to the next floor.

To enter some rooms use different jump techniques with the energy strand.  (HINT: sneak around a bit)

To heal your dragon you will need to fly inside the first floor of your sphinx to take the healing flare.  To leave on your dragon, you must fly through the doors.

Because of the ethereal nature of the sphinxes, you may walk or pass through some walls.

FLAGS

Flag of Hyksos
Hieroglyph of a Worker

Flag of Nubia
Crane

Unless you use the dragons; you must travel through each floor of your opponent's sphinx then walk through the golden door of the offering room to get your opponent's flag at the Rear of the Sphinx.

When you steal your opponent's flag, you wear their flag upon your body as a challenge to your opponents.

To capture the flag, go to the offering room in your sphinx and press the use button (see your options) to offer your flag to the offering altar.  You will be awarded 10 kills for each offering.

ITEMS

Only your team can use weapons inside your sphinx including the health for your dragon(s).

Both teams may use Rings of Invisibility, Runes of Invulnerability, and items outside the sphinx.

The Dragon fire breath is powerful here; able to penetrate through many parts of the sphinxes

DRAGONS

Dragons start with the lightning breath

Dragons start neutral, attacking ANYONE approaching to close

It is possible for one team to use both dragons at the same time although only one person can use one dragon at a time.
