Re: Blade´s programmer celebrates 20th Anniversary

Thats something i really love about stencil shadows, they dont hold back on detail. soft-shadows blur everything and imo look like shit.
Sadly all new games these days only have the blurry shadows as an option.

Re: Install BoD on Win 10 64bit

have you tried Nglide instead of DGvoodoo?

Another thing you could try is to just get a different version of BoD (non-GOG), either physical or digital.
Maybe the GOG version just does something differently. I never tried the GOG version myself, so i cant say.

Re: Install BoD on Win 10 64bit

No, the GOG version is already patched out.

Strange, does it crash if you use the OpenGL one though? If i recall correctly i heard people got the OpenGL raster with the GOG version.

I'm pretty much entering territory im not too familiar with here, since im no technical expert.

Re: Install BoD on Win 10 64bit

1. Install like normal, choose path and all that. 2. install the patch 3. install Bodloader (for mods) 4. install Fogfix mod (to fix fog for OpenGL renderer) 5. install the OpenGL.raster 5. start the launcher 6. choose a renderer (OpenGL, Direct3D etc.) and resolution. 7. choose sound option (Miles ...

Re: BLADE win10 crash FIX (VULKAN)

Nice, got it to work in windowed mode like this. hopefully i can stream it at some point, been too long since i played it. (EDIT) well, it works but pretty much freezes on every map load. wonder if theres a fix for that. makes streaming the game a hazzle. (EDIT 2) Gonna test out today if forcing 50H...

Re: BOD forums no longer publicly visible

yeah and thats a shame, the game could do with a remaster to make it work 100% on new OS's.

Or better yet, do what they did with 'Chronicles of Riddick' and make a sequel on a new engine and bring the OG to the new engine in a complete package with gore, swords and shadows.

Re: BOD forums no longer publicly visible

Pretty sure (100%) this is just scare tactics to try squeeze money out of no where (don't give in to his bullshit). Since no full game is being hosted anywhere on this site, only mods and forum posts and that no one really knows who the true IP owner is (which i think would be any of the original Re...

Re: shaky video in openGL (win10/amd)

Have you tried forcing 1 cpu core for Blade? (i dont remember how to do it, but i recall having to do it for fallout 3 when i last played that some years ago)

Also forcing 'vertical sync' might help as well, for me the flickering from lightsources got reduced when i did that.

Phew, i thought you went "fuck it"-mode and shut the site down. Good to see it back up again.

Re: shaky video in openGL (win10/amd)

Well, i just installed it on my computer and started it up. My specs are: AMD FX-8350 CPU Nvidia 1050Ti Windows 10 I only play with OpenGL, cause i know it works, the only problem you have with that is the thick fog, but there is a map pack that fixes that, i dont really see a reason not to use it, ...
