Don't be disheartened IG. You are doing more than fine. This sort of weirdness happens now and then. I still get it and I have been doing it for years.<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote">

Hi guys! I am looking for the tool "genmmp", but "http://blade-of-darkness.bigtruck-canad ... en_mmp.htm", the download file "genmmp" is for "BODLoader"(is changed), and here "http://www.uco.es/~cc0luesr/RecursosBlade/texturas.htm" the file is corrupted. Can anyone upload the program to "MODDB"?

I want to create the files. ".mmp" and ".DAT" with all the textures. [:)]

Here's genmmp, just copy and save as genmmp.py

Code: Select all

##############################################################################
## genmmp v 1.0 - by Masklin - May-2001
##############################################################################

import BaBx
import sys

BODHome = "C:/Codemasters/Severance/"
sys.path.append(BODHome+"Lib/PythonLib")
sys.path.append(BODHome+"Lib/PythonLib/Idle")
sys.path.append(BODHome+"Lib/PythonLib/lib-tk")
sys.path.append(BODHome+"Lib/PythonLib/DLLs")

import os
import re

Bitmaps = []
MMPName = ""

def process (dirname):

   global Bitmaps
   global MMPName
   files = os.listdir(dirname)
   files.sort()
   for file in files:
     basename = os.path.basename (file)
     name,ext = os.path.splitext (basename)
     if ext == '.bmp':
        print "genmmp: Found ",basename
        name=re.split ("__", name, 1)[0]

    	Bitmaps.append(BaBx.BitmapData(name,basename,1))

   if len (Bitmaps):

     print "genmmp: processing bitmaps..."
     MMPName = os.path.basename (dirname)
     os.chdir (MMPName)
     BaBx.ProcessBitmaps(Bitmaps)

   else:
      print "genmmp: bmp files not found at ", dirname

def save ():

   global Bitmaps
   global MMPName

   if len (Bitmaps):
     print "genmmp: generating "+MMPName+".mmp file..."
     BaBx.SaveFile(MMPName+".mmp")

     print "genmmp: generating "+MMPName+".dat file..."
     file = open (MMPName+".dat", 'wt')
     file.write ('1\n')
     for bm in Bitmaps:
         file.write ('%s\n%s\n'%(bm.BMPName, bm.InternalName))
     file.close()

   else:
      print "genmmp: bmp files not found at ", dirname

You don't need Genmmp.py anymore.

Sgi1981 did a software that extract, and compile your own textures into an mmp file.

I think that Genmmp.py could be fine, only because it generates automatically your *.dat file to load them in LED.

Make sure you edit the line:

BODHome = "C:/Codemasters/Severance/"

if you your folder structure is different.[;)]

Thanks guys!

Yes, I usually use the tool "bmp_to_mmp" of Sgi1981 to create textures files, but i need to generate the file ".DAT" for the maps in LED. [:)]

prospero

Yes, my first attempt, I forgot to edit this line [:D]

1) Select bmp-files of your mmp-archive

2) [File] -> [Export textures list]

If you will add some new textures later then use this method again and choose your DAT-file you wanna update

You need to delete this file:

Led_d.ini

Usually in the Windows folder.

in my Win7, it's in:
C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Local\VirtualStore

LED will create a new .ini when you restart it.

Btw, there's nothing wrong with your PC, I think everyone gets that problem at some stage. LED has a few bugs, but you'll learn to work around them.
