Seems that now BOD has been out for so long now that we are now reduced to a handfull of diehard fans of the game. Fans who's names will popup in almost every forum/site that is BOD related. Fans that are not willing to let a great game die.
I have a m8 who is a computer programmer. I was telling him one day about BOD. ...and he said that a while ago he had a chance to work on this games as it was getting touted around various companys - looking for anyone who would take it on.
I asked him if he could have a look at the LED map maker tool and see if he could redsign it. But sadly the lad was to busy. hummm!
To tell the truth I think it was a case of the games to old for him to consider doing any alterations to the LED program. [:(] - (no money in it?)
I myself haven't played BOD or any BOD related maps/mods in ages. I did try having a go at making a map myself but the coding was starting to get the better of me. Grrrrrrrr damn LED.
I have since got myself a new PC..... Are you listening Uncle Pro [:D]
Here are the specs.....
Gigabyte GA-K8NSNXP nForce3-250Gb ......... Price £140
Read a review of the Motherboard here..
AMD ATHLON 64 3400+ SKT 754 RETAIL ............Price £180
POWERPACK for CASE.
THERMALTAKE BUTTERFLY 480Watt PSU ......... £50
THERMALTAKE XASER III CASE..................£95
GeForce FX5700V - 256MB DDR/ DirectX 9 / AGP 8X ........ £75

This little lot has cost me an arm and a leg. Around £750 by the time you add a couple of new HD's.
I Have been putting it together over the xmas period and its up and running but not as I would like it. It took ages to re-route that mass of wires that accompany the case cooling fan system.
A couple of more strips of RAM and a bit more tinkering and then I can dump my old AMD 950. Which is now around 4 years old.
