Unknown version

When I try to install the 445++ patch, I get a message saying that I have an unknown version of
C:\Program Files (x86)\Psygnosis\Drakan\Dragon.rfl
Does anybody know what to do?

Are you patched to V445 at the moment? If so try a re-install as some of the game files may have been modified / corrupt by 3rd party mods and maps you may have installed.

I just installed today, so it shouldn't have anything else installed.

Sounds odd; I guess you tried a re-install and also what disk are you installing from? Is it a retail copy or OEM (free game boxed with a video card etc) as they are some differences.

Actually, i received this via P2P file-sharing, not a disc.

Well seem as it was downloaded from a P2P network its 99% probable it's an illegal pirated copy. Some of the files will have been modified or hacked to circumvent copy protection etc so there is not much you can do about that. If you bought a legal copy from somewere you shouldn't have a problem; there's plenty on ebay etc.

You have to update it via official patch to 445 prior to installing 445++.
This is most logical explanation in case you have fresh install (fresh version is not 445)
