hey, I'm about to get a new PC because my old one had a meltdown.
Does the editor work with windows XP or should I stick with 98
Also any suggestions about video cards?

Some minds should be cultivated, others should just be ploughed over.

It works on windows2000 with no problems so I guess it should be OK on XP seem as they are similar operating systems.

I don't know.... I heard Drakan doesn't even run properly on XP without a certain patch made by Microsoft.

AT: editor work about good on win2000 but it's 3D view crashes a lot :| ... also you almost can not work with Surreal's Modeler and win2000/XP and nVIDIA cards (TNT/GF) - it crash the whole system to STOP error when you try to open Textures window and Mapping :)

Drakon. that is A problem that happens with the nVIDIA TNT drivers not Windows XP I have found absolutly no problems with my computer running XP as long as all of the updates have been downloaded from windows update

My suggestion on video cards is that it's a good idea to look into the Radeon-made cards. I've got the 7500, and it wasn't very much but performs like a champ. It has T&L, which is absolutely required for the newer games. Look online, you could get a good deal. [;)]

Nah, Geforce is better. :) Has the same possibilites, expect it's a bit faster when gaming (thanks to drivers).
