Drakan downloads Here you will find downloadable files for Drakan such as screensavers, patches and other misc. files. For desktop wallpapers etc please see the relevant page by using the menu on the left.
Multiplayer & single player levels - An up to date site run by Andrey / Drakon Rider. Planet Drakan are no longer keeping their site up to date. Single player levels - an alternative download site for single player only kept up to date webspace permitting. English 445 patch - this is required to play most single player add-ons and online multiplayer. Apply this patch is you are running the game on Windows 2000 and XP. Sky common database - a collection of new skies used by some PCL's. You will need this file if the add on level (PCL) you are playing requires it and its not included with the level. Drakan level editing tools V1.20 - the level editor used to create new levels and mods to extend single player and multiplayer Drakan gaming. Drakan level editor patch - This may resolve the problem of the level editor crashing when run under Windows 2000 and XP. Drakstart - a useful utility that extracts Drakan multiplayer server info from the Gamespy network so you don't have to go via Gamespy for each game session. Arokh screensaver - a cool screensaver for your Windows desktop. Rynn screensaver - a cool screensaver for your Windows desktop. Alwarren savegame - This is a save game of mine (445 version) you can download if you cannot get past the crash when exiting Alwarren. Download this and unzip it into your saves directory to continue the game. Drakan engine performance patch - A patch that may increase the FPS on more complex player created levels (single player only mod, needs at least 96Mb of system memory installed) Alternative engine performance patch - Patch that is for Intel processors with SSE only. Again, this is for single player only; installing this patch will give an error when you try to join an online game. Too hard difficulty save game - A lot of you may have to start the game in developer mode to bypass the intro cut scene & difficulty selection that causes crashing on some machines. Unzip to your saves folder and load it from the game menu as normal. Thanks to 'Mad Bohemian' for this.
