Thanks to our discord members Deltwin and Mr V! there is a major new release of the community patch. This fixes lots of newly discovered bugs and fixes several compatibility issues with newer graphics cards and windows 11.
As this patch makes lots of changes it requires a clean install. That is you need to completely remove the game then the existing patch then re-install the game skipping the 445 patch (this replaces it); download and basic instructions can be found on the downloads page. Please note that on Windows 11 24H2 or later support for 16 bit installers has been removed. You will get an error when you attempt to re-install the game but don’t worry, the error will show a link where you can download a patch to restore support for older games. Only current issue is save games for custom single player maps are broken and won’t load. Saves from the game’s campaign will still work.
As for the forum, due to new UK law requiring proof of age the forums have been locked indefinitely. That means no-one can register or post topics / replies except moderators and admins. The forums will be kept as read only until I find a mod or extension that can verify age automatically.
